what is the ruling when playing a competition on glofers who are playing prefered lies when they have ben told they are not on( and have admitted playing prefered lies) yet continue to register their score on HDID

Note the CONGU requirement for DQd scores.

A Disqualified Score must be entered into the Player Handicap Record.

Can't be anything other than DQ. Based on the following logic.... Every time they "preferred" their lie, they will have incurred a penalty which they will not have recorded. Therefore, they will have recorded a lower score than was taken for the hole. The penalty for which is DQ. And the exception about "not knowing" can't apply.

It is simple having been told that preferred lies were not in place

from the rule book

When it is necessary to decide questions of fact, a player is responsible for considering not only his or her own knowledge of the facts but also all other information that is reasonably available.

 If a player knows that he or she has breached a Rule that involves a penalty and deliberately fails to apply the penalty, the player is disqualified.

Even if they did not know, ignorance is no excuse. Playing preferred lies is a deviation from the norm. If you think preferred lies might apply then you should get that confirmed one way or the other. DQ.
