Very emotional images and it's interesting to read about the impact that these photographs have on the photographers. Kevin Carter, a South African photographer, won a Pulitzer prize for his photo of a young child in the Sudan being stalked by a vulture. There were questions asked of Carter as to what he did to help the child, some very accusatory, and he eventually committed suicide.

He's the subject of the Manic Street Preachers song of the same name. They weren't too kind to him.
