I'm returning following a back injury that has kept me out for over 3 months,no more surgery required thank god, just loads of physio. I currently play off 17 and was playing really well prior to the injury. I went to the range yesterday and although still suffering the odd twinge I seem to have lost power and precision on the big boy, through the bag seems ok even using my G10 4 wood (I use this instead of a 3 wood) but the driver is hopeless I don't seem to be able to hit it as far as my 4 wood (roughly 200/210) and I'm spreading it all over the place,(I used to average 230/240 with a slight fade) Just thought I'd get some ideas before splashing out on the pro. Thanks

In the bag are:
Titleist 962 reg
G10 10.5 stiff
G10 4 wood stiff
G10 24' Hybrid

Your in the same boat as me im afraid, returning from a back injury(not as bad as yours). I found coming back that getting through the ball was much harder so naturally i was using my hands causing hooks, slices and even the odd shank. I just done some stretches when i woke up, before my round and after just to loosen my muscles a bit more. Hope this helps and welcome back to the game.

Its expected...you dont reach a good playing standard or start to strike the ball well over night. It must have taken you time to reach a good position and any time off undoes that work. The first thing to go is usually power followed by accuracy.

It will come back...
