Looking for some info. My LCD screen has gone faulty in my C2i, before replacing it I was wondering if anyone knows if I would be able to turn it into a GPS version?
If so what would I need to purchase.
A bit more info, the reason the LCD screen went is due to water ingress as I lost the perspex screen. I don't seem to be able to purchase the perspex screen anywhere without buying the whole handle.
I may still attempt to fix the LCD as I know that it is the ribbon to the screen that is faulty it's just quite a intricate solder job that may go wrong!
Failing that the plan would be to buy a new handle and LCD board with LCD screen, therefore if spending this amount then I wanted to know if spending a wee bit more would get me a GPS version.
