Q-School Graduate
I was all set for chucking golf (again) due to our impending new arrival and money being a bit tight. I've been a temp member at my club since July while i was on the waiting list. Got in from work today and the golden letter has arrived from the club informing me that i've got in this year.My mrs and i had decided i'd have to give up at least for this year, and i was happy about that as some things are more important. The downside being that i need my golf hit to unwind, as my job is very stressful. Luckily the mrs totally understands and encourages me to play as much as possible anyway.
It turns out the joining fee is a third of what i thought it would be, plus i get a third off that anyway as my year's temp membership isn't up until June. The better news is that the fees are also DOWN on what i was told last year.
So i'll be a handicap golfer again this year, and cannot wait to get started properly
