I have won a 4 ball on the Brabazon at the Belfry in a charity auction.
Any tips on playing it?

All I can say after playing the Brabazon today, is it is penal if you aren't on the fairway. Also distances I would normally hit at my own club needed an extra club or 2.
The water loves taking balls, but who cares.
I will forever know I birdied the 10th![]()
It was enjoyable but it’s level of brutality does take the edge off it as an amateur.Glad you enjoyed it. I’ve never been but a lot of my mates have - despite suggestions elsewhere that there are only a few iconic holes and the rest is rather bland, they all seem to have loved it.

Nope, sea level. Is your own club at altitude?
Birdie on 10 is a great one to tick off the bucket list.

It something we all found, but it's easily adjusted![]()
Nope, our 150 posts are to the middle of the greens as well. I think the difference is that you needed to carry to the green and hold it. The course booklet didnt seam to marry up with the on course markers though. Still fun though to play somewhere I watched on TV when you could for free.Must be the heavy Birmingham air.
Alternatively, the 150 yard markers on your course are to the middle of the green, and at the Belfry they are to the front of the green?
