Hi I will be down the belfry same day and on the 1st of April although we are playing the Derby and PGA, bit of a works couple of days out. Looking forward to it so be glad to what people have to say about the belfry as I have heard mixed reviews.

Got some great holes. 7 years since i played it and was my first game for 2 years so was a struggled to say the least. Tenth a great hole. To think pros go for it cos its such a narrow green. Its a great experience

Played it a few times, as people say the 10th is a great hole and so is 18 but to be fair the rest really aren't that good. Its just reputation and history more than anything. I guess it was the hype but i thought afterwards its ok but its not that good. The PGA National is the best course at the Belfry IMHO.

i played it last summer cracking course the 10 th hit a cracking tea shot and still come up short lol think it was about £130 we payed you will love it but have agree i like the pga better

Tend to agree with you - PGA National has an inland links type of feel that I prefer. It is very much each to his own though - both have been in cracking condition whenever I have played there.

I'm in the minority and really like the Brab'.
It's always in good condition, has plenty of challenges and memorable shots/holes.

My personal fav's being: 3rd, 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th, 15th , 17th & 18th.

Admittedly it has a few "regulation" par 4s without too much excitement going on but they still present a challenge with fast slopey greens and well placed bunkers and water.

I hope you enjoy your day.

Beggsy you will enjoy the Brabazon, its a great course with plenty of challenges and the condition of the course is generally fantastic.

I stupidly played it off the whites and it severely broke me and mentally destroyed me! I really want to try it off the yellows though.

Have a great time :)

I hope tae feck we're playing off the yellows!

As someone with double the handicap of the rest of them, I am anyway.

Might make a good day to get the digital cameras out and pimp ourselves into the magazine. :D

Only just noticed this. D

beggsy, I'm off for the green on the 10th mate. Its well within my range as long as its a calm day. Its not for me to say you cant have a few pops at it... but we need to get them all on video.

Really really looking forward to this now.

Do you need to present a handicap certificate to play at the Belfry anybody?

No you don't.

My brother drove the green on the 10th at the Belfry at his mate's stag do last year.

He NEVER lets it go untold when he meets a new golfer...

He got nervy and left the eagle short but drained the birdie.
