Hi, I have just taken up golf again after many years so my standard is not great. I'm looking for a playing partner of similar ability to play 2 or 3 times a month at weekends on a Tyneside course or nearby. Thanks.

There are a few in the area, more south of the river than north. I'm Morpeth way and would be happy for you to come to my course, Burgham Park. Don't worry about ability, the lads in the north east on here are easy going and have no airs or graces. We would be happy to have a new golfer in the fold. I'm away for two weeks but we can sort something out when I return if you like.

That would be great, drop me a message when you are back if you like, I've been ostly playing a par 3 course so far and got round in 72 last week so will play it a couple more times in the next fortnight to try and get below 70 then move on up!!!

Welcome to the forum mate, a fair few forum members up in the NE, my only thought is a lot will be playing in competitions at the weekend throughout the summer. Should a North East meet ever get arranged
