Have a G10 at present and my shape is a fade. Realise it was reviewed in GM recently but wondered whether anyone had bought one and their opinion?
Cheers
I tried it out at a Ping demo day and it really was one of the easiest drivers to hit I've ever tried. I put this in my blog review of the day
K15 Driver. Designed by Ping to appeal to higher handicappers, this has to be the easiest driver to hit I've ever used. You need to get over the look as the head seems massive behind the ball and it does make a metallic sound . Get past that and you're laughing. It was so easy to hit. Very light compared to Ping drivers of old and if you are struggling with the big dog you must try this out.
Being a snob I wanted an I15 ( IMO it's much prettier )
But I was recommended a K15 coz I'll get more shots in play.
I still have a lot of work to do on my driving, but I'm beginning to have enough confidence in this club that I've offered my old faithful to a good home.
This club is definitely straighter than my Benross, which itself is straighter than other clubs I tested it against.
I was, however a little dubious about Ping's claims about the extra length I'd create. This is the bit I haven't totally sussed yet, but it's definitely no shorter than before, and I think there is hope for an extra few yards in the long run.
I used it 10 times last time out. A few of the wayward drives were tee shots I aimed down the left side expecting a fade/slice, but which went straight. Overall, three were poor drives ( down to a bad swing ). Two were good strikes that I aimed a little too far left ( expecting a fade ), and they both stayed there. The other 5 were straight and in play.
