I bought some DT solos the other day, cost me 13 quid for the dozen. Pretty chuffed with them.

Never used the AD 333 myself, I have just heard lots of people on here raving about them and thought the deal I put on from a local store was quite good.

probably best to stay away from the NXT Tours then - they are very similar.
I have just changed my mind about DT So/lo's, I used to give them away but recently played a picked up one as a provisional and ended the round using it; it worked and felt good.
On your original question I would suggest that there is more difference between a ProV1 and a ProV1x than the latter and the Penta

I agree with this there IMO there is very little to choose between the penta and pro v1x. Go with whichever is best deal.

like yourself I will be a high handicap and not been playing that long( played for the first time off the white tees at my local club and shot 110) I wouldnt think of wasting money on premium balls even if i find pro Vs I give them to my bro in law . I quite like the srixons and the wilson dx2s and some bargains to be had but my favourite ball just now is the nike pd soft and the can be had for £20 for 2 dozen or do what I did and buy 20 pearl grade of ebay for just over a tenner.

Hope they work well stay straight and found the bottom of the cup! Enjoy.
I'm not a huge fan of the orginal TP (5 piece) or the latest incarnation and they are definitely shorter than Pro V, Srixon nad Bridgestones. However I have started trying the TP 3 piece and it is much longer than the 5 piece and I am getting as much control around the greens as I need. It still feels soft off the putter too and to be honest is pretty close to its more expensive brother

I've read reviews saying that it's longer than other premium balls? Could just be the difference in performance for one player compared to another

Got last years penta tp and seem a touch longer than Bridgestone to me

What timely thread to find , up until thursday all i carried in the bag were titleist & mainly Pro V's.. a few NXT/pts in there aswell for the bad days , was at an Audi Corperate day thursday & part of the gift pack was a sleeve of Pentas, took them out yesterday on a society outing & shot 3 over (35pts off 2 , double bogey 5 on the 16 from nowhwere ruined a great card ) ..
Lovely ball & cant see any difference in performance what so ever .. il definatly be adding some to the bag when i lose some of the stack of pro v's i have

Used 1 of my Penta's on the back 9 today, hadn't had a par on the front 9, then had 3 par's in a row with the Penta! Flew lovely off the driver and irons and had good spin with the wedges, hitting one shot to a foot or so from 50 yards out. But unfortunately it had two small cuts in it from that wedge shot, which is a bit poor. I used it on the next hole, hit a 280 yard drive but then thinned a wedge through the green and lost it
