Im not sure if this is somthing that even exists.

Im looking to play a bit of fun golf and to sharpen up my short game, struggle on Par 3's usually

Is there any that are a decent test within a couple of hours of glasgow

Cant think of any that immediately spring to mind (that are not kids training courses ala craigielaw etc)

Or if there are any in the north of scotland as up there on busines on occasion also

Cheers

Probably too far out of the way for you but the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre (formerly Aspire) in Aberdeen has a lovely little 9 hole par 3 course.

There's a little par-3 course in Bathgate, West Lothian I use on occasion... its a relatively straight-forward layout but decent for honing up the ol' short game.

Its a pay-and-play though, so attracts plenty of chompers.

We have a couple of decent pitch and putts locally which really sharpen the game. There is a fully fledged par 3 course not too far away at Hoebridge and again it really tests you. I haven't played the longer type for a few years but found my short game seriously wanting on the pitch and putt recently

Brucefields Golf Centre outside Stirling has a decent par 3 course, longest hole is 140 odd yards and it is quite tricky in places too, why not give that a bash? Decent range too.

Don't know if it is any good to you or maybe outside your range. North Scotland is a big area lol. I was recommended this course as a nice but short one when I was over Oban. Didn't get a chance to get near it because the small matter of getting married got in the way. Not a full par 3 but with 10 pars 3's and a few short par 4's it could be a decent option. If you were in the area a lot then joining as a country member could be worth a shout.

East Kilbride- Playsport Golf / Heritage Links. 9 hole course that has five par 3s. Holes inspired by Open venues, great condition and has a driving range, a short game practice area and a big American Golf store. So good all round for a visit.

You really will post anything at all wont you?

The OP asks for recommendations near Glasgow or at least within a couple of hours and you talk about a course near you!

Is your post count really that important to you that looking like an idiot a lot of the time doesnt bother you?

Did Homer really deserve this comment???
Very much doubt that he spends sleepless nights worrying about his post count.
