So me and a mate are going to golf live on the Sunday and I'm interested to see what golf courses we could play on the Saturday afternoon ? Any ideas ? It will somewhere that dose not require a hc certificate as my friend does not have an official hc. It will also help if they have a hotel/b&bs on the premises or very close by.

Aberdare is around 30 mile away. 45 min drive, straight down the M4 to the a470 and then a465, I honestly recommend it over any other course within 15 miles of us. You wouldnt have a problem either joining our competition as guests or playing anytime after 1pm to be honest.

I know im biased as its my home club, but theres a reason im here and not at the others in our vicinity.

I think both Coed Y Mwstwr and Woodlake Park o would be ither great choices and I think within reasonable driving distance. Coed y Mwstwr is the most beautiful course I have ever played however I dont know their Saturday tea times.

Hope it helps

Llanwern is a couple miles, Peterstone too. Newport is nice but may need a cert. Dewstow & St Pierre are just over the (old) bridge

As your coming from down near that the London village, the M4 corridor gives you loads to choose from.

Chippenham @ jct 17, The Players @ jct 18, kendleshire & chipping Sodbury nearby too. Then a fair few courses round brizzle.

Greenmeadow is a stones throw from it and a real nice set up!

My suggestion would be 'The Rolls Of Monmouth' though. It'll be about 10/20 min drive, but worth it. Google it. Second to that, St.Pierre.

Aberdare is hell of a treck from there and you'll drive past a lot of superior courses (in my opinion).

If you went for the Rolls of monmouth, you could b&b in Monmouth, which is light years nicer than Newport currently is..
