So In my quest to get a little better this season I've been after a cheap set of blades to improve my ball striking, I intend to practice with them and play bounce games but not in a comp. Anyway I just managed to get 9 Kane golf blade heads new for £70, now to shaft them up!
Can't wait to get started this season.

Harry Kane?! :)

They are actually very clean, uncluttered looking heads, I like them

Good luck. I have no idea why you think these will improve your golf, but have fun with them!

Nice looking clubs but as per post above, don't understand how hitting these will necessarily improve your ball striking. Good luck.

Your handicap is 16 and you have got blades to improve your ball striking??????? May I suggest that you practice a lot, get down to low single figures, then consider buying some. You will not improve your ball striking just BECAUSE you have blades. If your ball striking is not good with your present clubs, blades are not the answer. Don`t listen to your mates or anyone that thinks you will improve with blades, go ask a good pro what is his advice would be, it won`t be blades.

Cut the OP some slack guys. How often do we hear (read) people sayings that this club/these irons got me from 13 to 8 in 3 years etc. It never ends up with the response of "wasn't the clubs, you just got better".

I guess Shewy is keen to know whether he can actually play with them at first, rather than improve his ball striking. If he can then maybe his ball striking will improve, once he's continued to practise with them, as he states.

Either way, it's the OP's money and the OP's choice and I for one hope that he enjoys the experiment.

If ever you want a downer put on sommat, visit the GM Forum. The man has new shineys, be happy for him instead of judge and bloody jury.

Good on you, you can only try them. If it doesn't work then it's something learned. Years ago we had no choice.

Have to say this is right. And it's polite advice too.

I think it is an itch for every golfer that needs scratching, you don't feel fulfilled until you try. . And usually fail with blades, but at least you know!

Good luck with them and hope they go well

I'm toying with the idea of trying blades

Been using a Wilson Staff FG Tour during bounce games to see how they gon

Also handicap is not everything as to whether he can hit them or not, just a gauge for everyone else to judge. He may be a good iron player and poor in other areas. I have seen many single figure cappers who are poor ball strikers and have the short game of a wizard, but if they said they had a new set of blades no one would bat an eyelid.

Went to the range with my mate the other day, and he has a set of Titleist blades.....and the things scared me, theyre just so small! Fair play to anyone who can hit them well!!
Agree! My mate has the 714 mb with inch longer shafts and it looks like the head is the same size as the ball in the long irons:eek: Then again I am used to my ping shovels.
