Our club has purchased and we are about to start using the BRS online booking system. It has already caused much debate and many raised voices in the clubhouse.

What other clubs use it and what do you think.

My opinion is that it will be worthwhile.

It was introduced at the Vale last year. Personally I think it's a great idea and thoroughly worthwhile, especially for a club that can get quite busy.

Getting members to embrace it and use it however is a different matter entirely. You can book a slot on what looks to be a virtually empty timesheet only to find a course that isn't.

Obviously people prefer standing around behind the first tee waiting for their ball to reach the bottom of a tube.

Done. :D

My last three clubs have used it and for me it is ideal. If I am nipping up for 9 hole I can have a look at the timesheet and see if there are any tours or visitors and plan accordingly to either start on the 1st or 10th. It also makes sense for comps as long as it is set up properly with regards to booking slots etc. All in all I like it and it would be one of the first questions I would ask when looking at a club to join.

We have BRS in use too. I love it, can do my booking on my phone too, and email confirmation (plus competition changes) as soon as they happen.

Yes we have it at ours and suits me fine. Bookings are only required Tuesdays and Friday to Sunday. The weekend Slots are usually booked solid less than five minutes of going live.

We've had it a couple of years now and it's great.
No problems and no chance of turning up and having to wait an hour to get out.....
Perfect if you're on a deadline.

We use it at Peebles.. its pretty good, although I have noticed on more than one occasion that even though there might be a solid block of bookings in the system, the 1st tee is empty at allotted times.

Its also restricted to 1 booking per day per member, don't know if this is the same for other clubs.

My club introduced it last year and it would be great apart from the fact that committee decided not to use it at weekends. Daft.
