One hit wonders.

Sinead oconnor had a decent career and 2 decent albums i can recall, thats not a one hit wonder imo.

Chumbawumba or Chesney Hawkes were more one hit wonders I think.

Sadly Brian, I remember that.

Two others that came to mind - Eve of destruction by Barrie McGuigan and It's Good News Week by Hedgehoppers Anonymous (nothing changed there in the lyrics). But I'm sure that you are too young to remember those ;)

And from across the water my fav one hit wonder - The Beat Farmers - Happy Boy; it just makes me smile
 
The Power of Love Jennifer Rush - No.1 for four weeks - only had one other top 20 hit
St Elmo's Fire John Parr - reached No.6 - his only UK chart entry
 
The Waterboys - The Whole of The Moon.
I certainly couldn't name you one other Waterboys song and don't remember any of their other songs charting for any significant length of time.

Chumbawumba had a decent career, a few top 40 singles and multiple albums...

Chesney Hawkes had at least one more reasonably successful song, “I’m a man not a boy” and is still going!

been going for over 30 years, still selling out big venues, and still making great music


surely the definition of a one hit wonder is someone who had one hit and disappears from view. The Weather Girls (It's Raining Men) or Norman Greenbaum (Spirit in the Sky) are much better examples.
