One for the plumber fraternity

One I could possibly buy, 2 hmmm, 3... I think it's a balance issue. They also all work in isolation.

Someone coming out Monday to do the work. Should be no more than £60.

It will be a balance issue but you might have a bit of sludge in the system too. I would highly recommend getting a magnetic filter fitted on your system.

We have a Worcester Greenstar Ri boiler, F&E tank in the attic, hot water cylinder on 1st floor and 8 rads (all on 8mm pipe).

Thats a relatively new boiler so if its a very old system with a few new rads but the existing pipework i'd recommend the worcester filter and a power flush and/or renewing the pipework to each radiator in 15mm, otherwise you will continue to have issues.

8mm pipe feeding rads is a nightmare.

Renewing pipework isn't an option. Far too disruptive. Would need to take floors up and new carpets were just fitted 3 months ago when the new rads were fitted. No old rads on the system now.

Defo get a filter fitted ( correctly). If a powerflush is too much money, try chemicals and leave in shstem while shutting down some rads to force it round. If it doesnt work pay for powerflush and hope that works

Ive not seen a lot of it but it is out there believe it or not.
I’ve only seen micro bore used for single gas heaters, but not on heating systems. Surely your always going to have issues with flow and a volume of water shortage circulating in the system?

Yeah its not uncommon, in the early 90's 10mm was used on a lot of the Barrett and Wimpy new builds, i think it was the start of burying pipework in walls.
