One for the GM Mizuno JPX850 Driver tester

I wasn't one of the people given one, but I have been fitted and bought one myself. I hated the stock shaft and paid a small up charge to get a better suited shaft that I liked.

I love the driver, on the fitting day, I was getting the ball out 250yds, so I was told, I was more than happy with that, but was then told that was my carry. I don't think I've ever carried a ball that far.

The hybrid and the fairway were also very good for me, so I have them in the bag now as well.

I've only been out on the course once this year so far, but on the holes where I used my driver, I was definitely longer than previously when using my old Titleist 913. I don't know how long on the course, I don't tend to measure my tee shots.

Good work mate - always good to get a driver that works well for you

A FC has got one and after tweaking at a fitting and a change in shaft is getting of very well with it

commonality appears to be a shaft change makes it a better overall club.

Why cant manufacturers just put a decent shaft in from day 1

I've hit this driver with about 5 different shafts at a demo day. All were better than the stock shaft.

I am probably going to get my hands on a project x 6.0 shaft.

I had a bad back the day I hit these. Will go to true fit and get it on flightscope.

This driver is mega adjustable. You simply can't pick it up off the shelf or have a go of your mates and get the most out of it.

Its very interesting that no one seems to like the stock shaft which Mizuno appear to want to only offer for their drivers regardless.

Ive had 3 Mizuno drivers in the past and all were offered with aftermarket shafts, which were the MP 600 and 630. the last Mp Driver they had out was again mostly there own shaft. They need to wake up i think, i know there are a few options but its only a few.

Yea she went to Stirling Uni and must have got sorted with a home after that. Parents still live opposite the Dunbar and see her car outside quite often.

It's soft tipped, high launch, high torque, plays soft to flex, leaves the face behind a lot and just generally doesn't feel like a nice shaft. It seems to have a fine tolerance of swings, I can overpower it very easily yet a friend whose swing is a bit smoother and usually plays a regular couldn't get any distance out of it.

Another thing that caused a lot of resistance was that the US market got the Speeder TS as standard while we got this thing and there was little or no reasoning from Mizuno as to why. It's a made for that Fujikura have done for Mizuno and they obviously want to pump loads out there for marketing but it is definitely the weak point of what could be a great product. Mizuno love selling their fitting process(DNA) and the needs of the individual with their irons yet reading their twitter feeds they try to push customers back to this shaft with the driver.

Your negative opinions about this club have been voiced enough times in other threads, baffles me why you still feel the need to follow conversation about it and repeat your comments, you clearly have no interest in buying one.

I think they rushed it out to create some buzz while other manufacturers launched their new product and if I'm honest made a mess of the launch, a lot of the talk on WRX has died off now as many didn't wait for the full launch in February and many of those who did still can't access a full fitting. The weight system is a good feature but anything is as good as it's weakest link
