I start every day by doing the yoga sun salutation to really stretch the muscles.
Plenty of videos available.
But here's a question for you: Who provided the answer for how the sun and earth are suspended in space?

Was it a hairy Scotsman in a kilt?

I have never understood a retired persons need to get on the course as early as possible.

It’s not just retired people, a good portion of golfers like to play early.

My regular tee of time with a bunch of under 30s was pre 8AM in the summer! I loved being down the 6th before 8!

I will always retain that preference, as will other “early” golfers.

The most popular time will always be mid to late morning as you can get 18 in all year round in that slot and still have some of the day left.

And you can take the dog out first which has 2 advantages, keeps the wife happy and gets the legs freed off.

At my previous club, I occasionally played in the Seniors roll up.
I remember sheltering behind the large pine tree's on the 1st tee whilst they sorted out the groups.
I stood there teeth chattering in -4° waiting for it to get light at 7:15am & thinking this lot are retired, they are all definitely insane playing this early.

The winter solstice actually occurred yesterday morning, the point when the sun was directly over the Tropic of Capricorn and doesn't sink further south, so today is the solar New Year's Day. The calendar New Year's Day is of course on the 1st January within the Gregorian calendar.
2020 is a leap year because the Earth takes 365.25 days to orbit the sun. This explains why the winter solstice was not on the 21st December this year.
Even the sun is shining right now. It's no wonder ancient people thought they were living in last times with the ever increasing darkness, and 25th December was the confirmation that good had triumphed over evil. This gave the festival of Sol Invictus among others in the northern hemisphere. Christianity merely hijacked this for their own purpose and propaganda.
I was actually checking the sunset times on the BBC weather app. Here in the north east, daylight went up by a minute on Wednesday. Absolutely love that moment though. It’s like renewed hope of evening golf to come.

I agree. As a senior, I have always wondered why some have to be playing so early, it's as if golf is something they have to get out of the way before their day really starts!
It's ironic that the one group of people (retired) who don't have to get up early are the ones that do!
Each to their own, I suppose.?
