OMG!!!!!

I find the whole thing pathetic!
We've had hardly any snow here. I'd say a couple of mm at best and yet the whole place has gone into meltdown! Trains cancelled, schools closed, panic buying! It's ridiculous, it really is!

I was in Helsinki yesterday. Couple of feet of snow. Minus 18. I got to the airport by bus. No dramas. All flights going out no problem, EXCEPT to Heathrow. I was lucky, I actually got in. 4 hour delay but I got there. Amazing that a few inches can wipe out one of the biggest airports in the world.

Yup, were snowing again here also. Just as we were starting to see a slight thaw, I have another blizzard outside.

I went to club yesterday afternoon, played a few games of snooker and was planning to go this afternoon to watch the blues beet the gurners but the back road might not be drivable!

Four inches of the white stuff here... Quite looking forward to getting outside with the grandchildren tomorrow...

Had a great time outside with my grandsons... The one year old absolutely loved it...

My sons went out on their MTB's.. Cycled through the woods to Haste Hill GC where they said there were many sledging or snowboarding down the fairways... Hopefully not causing too much damage... Suspect similiar is happening at other courses...

Could do with thawing away now as I don't fancy the drive into work tomorrow morning...

Snowing here again - fed up of it now. Went for a hike yesterday and took my snow scooter which was great fun but I was totally knackered and my back was killing me by the time I'd made a decent run and been down and up it several times. No range today so another hike planned but no scooter or sledge!

We have had snow since Tuesday, I have been up at 5:30 every morning on the road by 6:15 at work by 7:30, an hour early and dealt with loads of breakdowns and cancellations from people too scared to drive. The problem is our appalling panic and poor preparation for any snow. Why oh why Heathrow should not have the equipment to deal with snow I will never know. I have just been clearing my neighbours drives and paths, and will be at work bright and early to go to work tomorrow, not fun but life goes on.

I wouldn't worry, the met office said it was going to snow all day, then not, then heavy, then light, then not......you get the point

Don't worry :D

Snowed all day here, I went to the club to play snooker and watch both footy games then struggled to drive home and nearly had to abandon the car on 2 occasions but just made it back in 55 minutes for a what normally takes just 12 minutes. Just looked out of the window after being asleep a couple of hours and its still coming down!
