OMG!!!!!

Full on blizzard here. Couple of inches easily in the back garden and side roads and doesn't look like giving up anytime soon.

proper snow here in Newbury shire, not a problem for the XC90, but a lot of people already struggling on the roads! i put the tow rope and shovel in the boot this morning, so i fancy flaying superhero later on!

My mate in Bournemouth has said all public transport now cancelled, schools closed already in readiness as they had an amber alert today as tomorrow their expecting largest snow fall for a decade!

no cancellations down here, even though we do have 2 inches, just done the school run (walk) and stopped to panic buy 3 cans of soup and some milk :o

I can report the buses are running, i repeat public transport is a go

Surrey/Hampshire borders and we have about 5cm and building. Mrs has just asked me to move the car from our untreated cul-de-sac to the main road - which has been gritted and looks OK (though not great)

Looking at my walls and on top of the car we've had easily 8cm already and its still full-on. When the wind drops the snow is larger and more concentrated but when the wind picks up its just light fine blizzard conditions.

No golf for some time me thinks :(

Just home from the range which was deserted. Small snow flakes for now (settling on frozen ground) but boy the wind chill is chilly to say the least. Was working on my driver though so giving that a right royal smack kept the hypothermia at bay.

hmmm - 10cm+ in my back garden so will be the same at the course. Match tomorrow was cancelled two days ago (we saw it coming) - worried about next Saturday's match though :(

Same here, just been in the garden with the dog and easily 10cm if not deeper and still full-on! With the wind there are some seriously deep drifts.

Was looking forward to our Extra Medal tomorrow and Winter League Sunday, don't think the ranges would even be open in this :(

10 centimeters...................Wooooooooooh:rolleyes:

We haven't a clue in this country............

Its the deepest I've seen for a good few years and still its coming down. We usually miss it here in Coventry but seems were going to get a full ration this time.

I've done winter warfare in Canada & Norway so I know what's its like over their and how they cope.

We've got about as much snow as someone knocking over a bag of icing sugar. Yet everything is still closed and people can't move, I find it all a bit pathetic. Just wrap up warm, wear appropriate clothing and get on with it.

About 6 inches in the back garden. Going to take some shifting before the car goes anywhere. Hope HID doesn't hurt her back shovelling all that snow or make too much noise as I doze or watch the telly in bed. I'd love to help but with three hernias at the moment far too risky

Well apparently we are expecting another 4 inches on top of the 3 that's just landed so I've cleared that and the pathways on our side of the street then gritted everywhere. I'll be up early so if any more lays then I'll do the same in the morning before digging the car out for the wife and take it down to the main road at the bottom of the village so she can get to work.

Then it's out for a long walk with the little'n and dog and depending on time a pint at the local on the way back. This weather is not going to beat me no matter how bad
