OMG!!!!!

My mate in Bournemouth has said all public transport now cancelled, schools closed already in readiness as they had an amber alert today as tomorrow their expecting largest snow fall for a decade!

I like the way that when the schools close due to the snow, the kids go sledging and have to walk passed the school to get to the hill :p

Going to try and get in tomorrow as the bosses take a dim view (yes I know) but it depends on the trains. I think getting there won't be the issue its how heavy and quickly it comes down around lunchtime and if and when they stop running. Dont fancy getting stranded in Reading or on the way back. If I can get as far as Wokingham its a 6 mile walk but I'd have half a chance of walking

If this is just scare mongering, then it isn't funny.

If its real and on its way to this degree, then its definitely not funny.

If this is true and means I can't play yet more golf, I'm actually glad I volunteered to be the one that's on standby for work emergency call out as rather than paying £150 a week plus £50 call out they give you £150 standby and £150 call out to cover excess hardship for travel!

3 or 4 call outs which is usual Means I can earn enough to pay this years subs and maybe some new accessories. If I can't play may as well earn some money, and there was me moaning the other week for working for water company.

Other than that heating on, shorts on and pretend in Abu Dhabi watching the golf

In all seriousness if what is blasting through here is anything to go by then batten down the hatches and make the best excuse you can not to go out. It's lashing it down, blowing a gale and with it hitting the cold air you all have it's going to be really bad travelling conditions. If it was snowing here I wouldn't be surprised if we had a good few inches already.
