yup the good old snipers! I have lost plenty of bargains by pennies even when I think I bid with sod all time left for anyone to gazump me.

Funny thing is they left me 1 minute to bid again. I placed the bid at 30 seconds and it said time was up.

I was forever bidding on ebay, filling little gaps in my bag and replacing naughty clubs. when you stop, it leaves a bit of a gap in your evening.

My mate once bought a bmw z3 on ebay after a few jars one afternoon. He got it for quite a bit less than he was expecting to pay for one anyway (he was idly looking at them for the missus at the time) but committed when he was juiced up. Sale stuck. 3 years later they've still got it.

I've found eBay a useful tool in finding things I can't readily get my hands on.
The 3 and 4 iron to my MP32's as an example. Another example being my 3 wood.
If I'm not looking for something specific, I tend not to go on there......... Just in case!!

I had an unbelievable resut on eBay this morning but it was not golf related. A girl has just split from her boyfriend and was selling some stuff off. He had just got a new Tecnifibre squash racket and it was still in the packaging. She was selling it before he had even come to the house to collect it and I won the auction this morning to my great delight.
There were two things in my favour. First, the auction ended at 0619 so not many people were up and watching the item. Secondly, she had spelled Tecnifibre wrong so the item would not figure on standard searches. This meant that I got a racket that I really want and in fact nearly bought last week for £119 for the bargain price of £51.62!!
Happy days! really rare to get a bargain like this as squash rackets are not as common as golf clubs and the eBay market for them is tiny compared to golf gear.
I love eBay sometimes!
I do feel a pang of sympathy for the ex-boyfriend of course but am reconciling this by imagining him to have behaved terribly and slept with her best friend, mum or sister. Karma eh.....?

theres always the odd bargain and as you said early/late finish times help. Also 3/4 through the month as a lot of folk are skint, around payday = bumped up prices!
