All,

The company are running a survey asking readers their views on what impact they think the Olympics will have for London & Britian. The survey is running until 9th November and there's a £500 incentive in the form of John Lewis vouchers up for grabs spilt as follows: £250 winner, £150, £50 and £50.

Not sure whether you get any good golf gear in John Lewis but I've just bought a spice rack there and it has changed my life!

Thanks in advance for your participation....

It'll be covered in dust in 6 months and still not used :D a spice rack was a favorite 80's wedding pressie. I just hope it's small enough to fit under the sink with the breville and the cappachino maker ;)

I think the Olympics has pumped fresh fresh life into inner city London so far when you consider the construction jobs created to build the infrastructure.

London will reap all the benefits from the games. Unfortunately I cannot see Britain as a whole gaining much. All benefits will be London based (as usual!)

I am close enough to this project to consider it as local work and fully qualified and experienced in steelfixing/formwork and concrete,
the main part of all the projects on the olympic site.
English is way down the list of nationalities working on site , and being English actually makes it harder to get a job there.
Yes you are right it has created thousands of jobs, but not for the right people

Warning, the survey is too long and repetitive.

However when, if, you make it to the end, my suggestions for new Olympic events (pity they don't ask which we'd get rid of!) are Free Running and Urban Golf.
