Now let me say I've been bowled over by the olympics and the paralympics. I was a cynic and happily proved wrong by the level of organisation, efficiency and the performances. However I do think the organisers of the parade today missed a trick. I would love to have gone along but had to work as I'm sure many others did. Had they made the route longer and done it on the weekend then I'm sure it would have given everyone that wanted to watch the chance to do so.
I enjoyed watching some of the highlights earlier and a fine tribute to the athletes and helpers but just can't help thinking it could have been bigger and better
