First tee shot, always a bit daunting, especially with the wall and railway line so close. At least it must be a true links course being on the sea side of the railway

This is the 16th green, meant to highlight the slope on it, approach shots come from the high side of the green

This is the view back down the course from the 17th tee, airport over on the right hand side

View from the 17th tee, the green is over there somewhere

View from landing area on 17th, green over the ridge !! You aim at the marker on the top of the hill as advised on the tee box

This is what awaits your shot when it clears the hill !!

Cant wait to play there later on in the year and the place were he first open took place. Excited.

Great pictures and that bunker looks brilliant, it would be rude not to go in there I feel, even only for an extra hit. :)

How did you get on and what did you think of the course ? spill the beans:D

You will enjoy it, quite quirky in places but excellent. the cardinal bunker which is in play on the third and sometimes 16 if you slice is amazing

I didn't play very well, but there is always next week. Course was in great condition. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Even mooching about the clubhouse looking at the memorabilia.

Six iron and a wedge down the first, felt like I was on the platform with the commuters.
Cardinal bunker is awesome I had to hit 5 wood just to get out.
There’s a par 3 with a wall of railway sleepers that’s a great hole.
Must be 30yrs since I played there it looks exactly the same.
Great course would love to go back one day.
