odyssey metal x putter

Afternoon all,just bought odyssey metal x 9 putter ,feels great.Hopefully should be able to get that little white ball in the hole sooner,ha,ha.Does anyone else have a metal x putter ? and what are your thoughts ?

been mixed views on this range generally i think its been reported a touch on the firm side.

I have (as a back-up to Scotty) the #7 model and have been very impressed. Certainly feels more responsive than either White Hot or White Ice ranges.

But, as ever, it is a case of whatever works for you.

#7 user here also, best face odyysey have produced in my opinion, previous faces felt like striking the ball with a sponge. Again each to their own but I like the crispness off the face coupled with the head shape for easy alinement.

Depends on the speed of your greens i think, for me the White Hot is better using a decent ball on fast greens as you get better feel

I found the Metal X too firm with a light feeling head weight but may suit some folk and slower greens perhaps

I've got the 2 ball one & think its great, nice heavy head & firmer feel than my old insert putter. Definitely helps on the slower winter greens but not too firm for the fast summer greens, best putter I've ever owned

I got the metal x8 for Xmas - still not used it :angry: apart from on the carpet.

Definetly got my eye on this one. Thinking about upgrading my DFX 5500 Oddyssey putter and want to stay in the Oddyssey range- Looked at the new Versa line, but it was too distracting for me. Metal X #6 looks (and feels) great!
