Odyssey back Stryke putters

Gareth.... Reckon you could game one?

I think if I was fitted, sure.

Think it would take a bit of getting used to with the shaft being a ways behind the face and the single bend shaft fitting into the back of the alignment aid, basically, at the back of the putter.

It felt a similar weight to my Scotty, but seemed more stable through the stroke, probably down to there being more weight in the wings behind the head.

The only things that would worry me with the back strike is:

a) A lot of the weight "feels" further forward to me, more in the face. With the hosel being at the back of the putter instead of the neck, hat's probably why they added the "Wolverine" style wings to try and even it out and bring some of it towards the back. I bet this would play well on fast greens.

and

b) It was probably all in my head but I felt like my hands were miles behind the ball (Which, from what I've read about putting is a no-no). I don't think they were as far back as they felt, but it was unsettling. The shaft leans forward at address quite a bit so gives the impression of a forward press. I would imagine the amount of lean on the shaft could be off putting (No pun intended) for some.

No sure if that's helpful or not

They are sore on the eyes. Stixk to.a two ball if you want some help in the putting department.

A matter of opinion on the looks I suppose.
I quite like the look of them to be honest, but even if I didn't it's the performance that counts for me.
I would putt with a old broomhandle with a rusty nail in it if I thought it would perform.

That's were your going wrong fella. There's no putter in the bag in your sig. Would really help your putting if you had one I bet.

They look great, seem to perform great and I would have bought one if I had tried one when I went to buy my putter.

Sadly I cannot either justify a change nor afford one. I am very happy with my current putter and I am one of those "one putter" people.

I still can't figure out how this would assist any bodies short game. It looks very difficult to keep in anchored, in-place and straight. I am telling you I have never been more accurate with a 33" Never Compromise Z I Alpha 2. To each his own I guess.
