Guys just wondering have we many odyssey 2 ball users on the forum?

What do you find are the major pros & cons of the putter. It's never been a putter that I took much interest in before for some reason but picked one up in a shop last week and it felt very good.
Have been thinking recently of changing putter, for no particular reason other than to freshen things up.
Have always used a blade style putter but thinking of going to something more mallet style this time.

Just wondering what feedback there is here on the putter?

I know putting is very much a personal thing but interesting to hear the views here

I have used one. It was the bladed version and at the time really good. Decided I wanted to get back to a traditional blade. Eventually I decided a half mallet was the best compromise and had an odyssey white ice #9 and swapped it for a firmer feel with the milled face. I found that the stroke really needs to be a back and through type and it was off putting to my eye if I started to arc the stroke

Had this putter, the fang and the rossie !

Personally i hated the look of all of them too bulky

Back to a blade and improved my putting stroke pace is far easier to judge

I would try but not for me

I have the Backstryke version of the 2ball and love it, however i do feel it is not the best for long putts on a slow green, really need to give it a whack.

Inside 10-12 feet or on quick greens i cant fault it!

2 ball white hot for me. when I take a practice putt I can see a definite line made by the two white circles and this helps with confidence when stood over the ball.

Down the years I've had a DFX and a White Steel 2-ball.
Liked the look but couldn't get on with the insert of either.
Had a Marxman XG and couldn't get on with the insert - distance control was all over the place.
Currently using a No.7 White Hot Tour - firmer insert and I'm putting as well as I've ever done.

Except last week........

I have the 2 ball Metal X new one - it's improved my putting hugely, I feel confident over the ball and feel like it's weighted well for my stroke. The metal insert really does lock with the ball and give a true roll and direction.

sounds like somebody believes the marketing <insertsmiley>

They are very good putters.

As for the metal insert locking with the ball?! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Bought one last week, the White Ice lined version. I had the #1 Blade previously but really couldn't get on with it. Got fitted in AG and they recommended I move away from the #1 as it was toe-weighted and didn't suit my stroke. They also got me on to a 34" rather than a 35".

Only used the new toy once so far, but it feels smoother through the ball, somehow, and is a much better weight for me, particularly in comparison to the #1, which is a lot lighter. I agree that the 2-ball helps you feel more confident of your line when you're over the ball. Early days, but I'd recommend it.

I'd say it's worth getting fitted, though. What works for some doesn't necessarily work for all.

Never had an odyssey 2 ball but had a cheap copy. Didn't really like the 2 ball alignment. Have a Rife 2 bar mallet putter and absolutely love it. Great alignment with the 2 bars, great feel and you can change the weights to suit. In addition you can change the lie of the putter.
Have a look at these before you buy
