October Issue of GM

The site shows the current issue as being on sale from 14th August, but everywhere I go they are still selling the September issue. This includes WH Smith and Sainsburys.

Anyone know where I can get a copy (my subscription doesn't start until the November issue)?

I think its on the shelves about the 24th

i know i have asked this before - but why, in magazine world, does the October Magazine come out in August?

I'm sure Mike did answer this a few months back although can't for the life of me remember the answer. I know he said basically ignore the month though
