I only have council telly but really fancy watching the Ryder Cup, so can anyone tell me if I can do this via Now TV and if so how does one go about it ?? Does it get piped to your TV or Laptop, ideally I'd prefer it on my lappy.

Funny, I was going make a post saying exactly the same today.

I've installed the Now TV app on my Samsung, unfortunately all the recent reviews say the android app is terrible and cuts out a lot. So I'm just praying they release an update to it in the next two weeks that sorts it out now, since I'll be paying £13 for this so I will expect it to work.

What device are you using? The picture is brilliant on my TV through a Now TV box. However, if I try watching on my laptop the picture is rubbish.

Now TV is a shocking product. I tried it for a month and couldn't believe how often the pic became pixilated. In most occasions this has nothing to do with your connection. It is simply poor technology and product they offer. A cynic would argue, as its owned by Sky, they make the product so poor to push you into their main product.

I have an extremely fast internet fibre product and have NEVER had a problem streaming on any other device, despite multiple devices streaming from it. Now TV is unusable in my opinion - a shocking product

Had it for over a year now, possibly longer and today was my first ever "issue".

I use Now TV through my son's PS4, never had any issues with connectivity or picture quality and love the fact it saves having to pay for a full Sky package.

I signed up for 1 month for Ryder Cup and BM (plus some tennis and footy).

Does take little while to become sharp, but haven't had any other probs.

Cancelled it though as too expensive for my use otherwise.

I signed up for one month (on special offer at £13) just to watch the Ryder Cup and I didn't have many problems at all. Watching it all day Friday and Saturday, using my phone app then Chromecasted onto the TV. Once on Friday it stopped casting so I just had to do it again, and one on Saturday the picture went blurry for around one minute then fixed itself. Other than those two brief incidents it was spot on. I thought it was great value as opposed to actually buying Sky.

I've been using it for almost a year now with very few issues at all. Very occasionally (once in 3 months ) I've had to reset the connection to get a sharp picture but apart from that it has been excellent.

I'm glad its working well for some people. If you google it you will see hundreds of threads about poor picture quality. It affects a lot of people and you have to ask why. There are always complaints about any product, but the sheer volume on Now TV astonishes me. IMO the volume of complaints about the same issue points clearly to a product problem. You don't see anywhere near this problem with other providers.

Your doing well only to have intermittent issues

I’ve had it for 2 years and worked well. Got 3 boxes and like the option of taking sky sports/movies for a month or 2 and flexibility to cancel as and when. In the last 2 weeks it has been terrible, Ryder cup was unwatchable and sky atlanic sound/picture out of sync. I player/YouTube working fine so def a NowTV issue - will cance the lot if they don’t sort it out soon.

These will be down to the quality and stability of the users internet

If someone is on high speed internet with a good ping they will have little problems

If in the sticks with 5 mb speed and a high ping the picture is likely to go funny

My average speed is 80Mbps, rarely below 70 and usually 90'ish. I am a techy and if you read a lot of the complaints you will see most of them have average Fibre speeds (35-40) at worst. I have a friend running Sky Q on 8Mbps with mini box upstairs running wireless with never a drop off in 2 years. i couldn't run Now TV with 80Mbps. NEVER had a picture quality issue before, even with 5/6 devices streaming together, as you would expect of such a speed.

The problem is absolutely not speed. Please read the feedback from customers if you doubt my point

Speed is nothing without a good ping
