Just heard that my OTHER brother in law has been found dead at home this morning, while the one thats in hospital is still clinging on in an induced coma. sad times.

Following on from Poker's BMW thread
some numpty took out my wing mirror the other day on my Kia, Ceed Sportwagon

It needs a service so ive booked it in and asked them to replace the Wing Mirror at the same time

They phoned me today to advise that the cost of the unit itself is well over £300 plus £80 to colour spray it, plus £47 fitting charge plus VAT
the whole thing comes to well over £500 for a wing mirror, the whole car only cost £15k brand new.

Had to get one changed in my old Citroen Picasso and that was only just over £100

Slightly fuming as they have me over a barrel GRRRRR

Hold off and keep in touch with breakers. no need to spend big money on new parts Phil.
