Not looking good for some players

250k euro
Probably just about break even for a trier on tour, hotels, flights, caddies wages, their flights hotel, food..
Tough almost at the top..

Costs are estimated to average out at €6-7000 per event. Assuming 23 events that leaves approx €90,000 which would equate to approx £80,000.Not too bad I would suggest.

Gutted for Eddie Pepperell, he's originally from my old club Drayton and is also from my home town. Not sure that the number of tournaments comes into it though.

It came from Eddie Pepperell himself, at a question and answer session at Frilford Heath, which was held recently.

Amazed to see Eddie Pepperell struggling to keep his card,as for the Howler ex ryder cupper and top all time money will get him invites as will Lawrie with his Open win.

Just looking at the latest scores from Q School
Some names in trouble there

Quiros, Rumford, to name a couple

Gutted to see Rumford withdraw. He's a great guy often down at the club hitting a few balls and always very generous with his time to anyone out on the practice ground. I know he's had some issues with injury but hopefully he'll get fit and as he won a couple of times a couple of seasons back will still get the odd sponsor invite.

Looking good for Eddie Pepperell and Tom Lewis, hope they hold on to get their cards back. Bad day today for David Law and Bradley Neil, inside the cut but need to get a shift on the next couple of days to get a full tour card.

Not sure how Howeller will feel about sneaking in in 111th place - relieved or guilty!

David was a junior at my club as a youngster and I am fairly certain that he has been a qualifier every year since he first got his card........1993 [ish]..... Some record if true.
If my memory is correct he birdied four of the last five holes to gain his card.

If he had failed to qualify, his money career record would have got him into most events.
Knowing David, I am sure he would rather do it 'honestly'.
