Not a great start to 2010

Just looking through the golf monthly website and I was nearly horrified to see the looks of the latest drivers coming out!
Here are my "reviews"

-Nike VR Str8 fit: Very typical of Nike but it is a big ugly brute of a driver, altough they fixed the gigantic powerbow at the back
-Cleveland Launcher DST: Took me a while to believe it was a Cleveland and not a Dunlop!
-Nike SQ MachSpeed: I cant find a word that could aptly describe the looks of this!
-Callaway Diablo Edge: So bad that it is funny!
-TaylorMade Burner SuperFast: One of the worst drivers I have ever seen!


On a good note:
The TaylorMade R9 supertri has seemingly improved on the original R9.

Of course I still have to actually try them so maybe it may turn out they are not so bad after all!

I'm going to give the Machspeed a swish when I can, every review I've read so far say's it's super forgiving and long..hang on though, they say that about any new driver in the mags,

Apart from the new Mizuno MP range I am yet to see new irons I like!
I know exactly what you mean about those new drivers, mine is hideous to look at but its doing a much better job than my super sexy but hard to hit well Cobra S91 Pro.

However, the new Scotty Cameron California look superb!

That Nike SQ Machspeed is hideous.
The Nike VR doesn't look too bad though, I hope not anyway because I've got one of the limited edition ones coming (smaller head I think). getting tigers specs for a bit of fun.
Callaway seem to be carrying on with the run of ugly drivers over the last few years. FT's look good though.
Not seen the others yet though so guess I've got a bit of a scare coming.
