North Korea ,, bluff or realy nuts?

Hope it is bluff but like others say, it takes one itchy finger. If China are getting worried then you have to hope they will put the pressure on and he will back off but he might stick two fingers up and go it alone and annexe N Korea from the world stage. With nothing to lose anything could happen then

Hopefully the Chinese will get on the phone and put him back in his box. They need to. It really is the ultimate example of "I am going to break your foot by beating it with my nose".

He's young, and has got his finger on a huge amount of power. He's not used to having his authority questioned. Be afraid BE VERY AFRAID!:(

But he's just been elected for a 2nd term! Or do you mean the North Korean guy?

Propoganda and 'diplomacy' by both sides imo.

South Korea certainly has 2 things to worry about though:

- being geographically close to a dictatorial nuclear power
- being economically/politically close to a dictatorial nuclear power.

At least NK's WMDs are acknowledged/proven, unlike the excuse used by good ol' USA in its Petro-War!

Since when did "young" mean over 50? Unless of course you are over 60!

There is a democratic process in the us which makes the president accountable. There are also numerous checks needed for him to do really stupid stuff.

The Korean guy has no checks, no hand brake, he can do exactly what he wants. That's what makes him dangerous. More so than Obama, certainly.

Mossad, sponsored by the Zionist United States national security community will take this man out in a Black Op in the next six months.

This will be followed several more years of the said United States national security community turning a blind eye to Israeli occupancy of foreign territory and murder of innocent Palestinians.

There isn't a major world player who won't be happy with that outcome, apart of course from Saudi Arabia where all the good oil and all the good international terrorists originate from

Nearly!

Certainly 'Young' in Presidential terms, though Democrat ones tend to be younger than Republican ones. Clinton was same age, Bushes were nearly 10 and 20 years older at equivalent stages.

BTW. North Korea has 'Democratic' in the official name of the state. That tends to indicate that the regime is the opposite, to me, though - DDR wasn't my view of Democracy. All depends on what your personal/national take on 'democracy' actually is. As long as you recognise that there are potential faults in all forms - and that the News Media is one area where democracy can be manipulated - the 'dodgy Dossier' being a recent example!

I'm not altogether sure about that. Maybe stuff in his own country, but I think there's a large Red hand nearby that has quitre bit of influence. Agree he's 'more likely' to be more spikey dangerous than Obama, but there's certainly plenty of danger from the US 'empire' imo!

Again, News Media and sound bites tend to reflect our own and our government view more than they should imo. Too much 'red-top' style stuff borders on propoganda rather than reasoned condemnation imo.

Indeed, if reasoned condemnation was applied to Middle East, I believe the pendulum of world opinion would swing away from Israel and their current oppression of Gaza citizens - though I certainly understand the reasons for their stance!

There a shock the Israelis being involved!! Rowdy boys!!

I kinda think he's blowing hot air aswell, the Americans would destroy him and his country, even he's not stupid enough not to realise that.

I'd be more worried about the Iranians.

This sort of stuff might help

Well I'm not paying my golf fees until Wednesday - just in case!

Of all the nutters in, all of the countries, with all the nuclear weapons they have, he is most definitely the one nutter who might push the big red button first!

Nothing but bluster. What I can't understand is why 'The West' hasn't launched an attack already. Sadam got his yard invaded for much less. I was under the impression that all that's needed is some dodgy intel on dangerous weapons and a non compliant despot who suppresses and murders his own people. North Korea ticks all the boxes, so why no invasion?

I would venture that 3 key ingredients are missing; Bush, Blair, Oil.

S Korea has stepped up police patrols at potential targets.
Erm, I'm no expert but I can't see how this will help against a nuclear weapon.
