Noodle - long & soft

Morning all,
Yesterday I found a ball, it was called a Noodle and had written "Long & Soft" on the side of it.
Has anyone ever used one of these balls?
I had a few chip shots with it whilst waiting on the tee (very slow group in front) & it seemed ok.
Any info, recommendations etc?

From memory the Noodle used to be a Maxfli ball.

Can't tell you about the performance though, as I'm not a good enough golfer.

I've used the Noodle Ice in the past and liked it (well I would, shot my lowest score with it!)

Found one the other week and gave it to my 9 year old, who I was playing golf with at the time. He'd been hitting really well upto that point and decided to switch to the Noodle in the hope that the "long" would give more distance. After three strikes of the ball and barely 70 yds up the fairway, he turned round to me and said "dad, I know why they call this ball a noodle, it slides all over the place and won't go in a straight line".

Don't know whether that's a conclusive evaluation though

I've got four sleeves of them indoors that I bought about 4 months ago.

They are a good ball as I say.
Decent length off the tee and reasonably soft around the greens for chipping and putting.
There are softer balls but at a much dearer price. For £9.95 a dozen I don't think you can buy a better all round ball.

It is a fairly new ball.
Whilst chipping on and around the tee box it seemed nice enough for feel. I also hit it as a provisional on the 18th and it went well with the 3 wood.

I was thinking of getting some cheap but decent balls (if such a thing exists) for the winter league.
I don't want to spend too much because of our tactics. My partner is a short but very consistent player, so he keeps it steady for pars & halves. Whereas I'm quite long and as such go for the risk/reward shots.

As such, if they don't come off safely I don't want to be losing Pro Vs or other top of the range balls.

I was using a Srixon AD333(? blue box ?) which I won in a long drive comp' the other day but I'm not sure how much they cost.

What would be the Titleist equivalent of the AD333?

I used to play the NXT, but switched over to Srixon AD333 or sometimes Softfeel (don't think there's much difference between the two). I prefer the Srixon to the Titleist at the moment. Have also recently tried the Strata Professional and Nike One Vapour, having been given some complimentary sleeves of both. I thought the Strata performed very well, not far off the Srixon. Having mixed results with the Nike, seems to play better on some days than others, or maybe that's just me .

Direct Golf recently had a good sale on Golf balls, the Srixon's were £12.99 a dozen. Saw yesterday that chavworld online had some reasonable prices for them too at £13.99 a dozen.

Noodles are, or were last time I looked in, on sale in JJB Sports, not far from your K1. I believe Medway Jon was a fan in former times.
