Nizels golf course

Played Woodlands a month or so ago.
Was in very good shape, but I think I'de get fed up with the 10th very quickly.

Ha ha I put a wedge to about 2 foot for my birdie.....but that walk is a killer

Ignore JustOne! Westerham cannot be described as a goat track in any way, shape or form. If the time he played it was when he walked around it with me, and didn't even swing a club then definitely ignore him!

A lot of money has been spent on drainage since 2010, and the practice facilities will be top drawer in a month.
New driving range, great short game area, plus next year will see a 9 hole par 3 course.

A lot of the winter masts have been replaced with Huxley tees and we had one temporary green this winter.

Nizels suffers badly in the wet, has a very limited practice area, and is right on a train line and you can hear the A21 from two holes really quite badly.

Of those two, I'd join Westerham, but then I've been a member there for 8 years and was Captain 2 years ago, so I'm possibly biased!

Happy to host you any time or put you in touch with the membership secretary.

Thank you Bratty! Viewing a house today which has huge potential for us! Let's hope we get it! All these golf clubs in the immediate vicinity are just as exciting! :)

Nizels is not a bad course, I just don't play it well!
It was in superb condition when I played there last Friday, unfortunately my game wasn't!
Not a "bombers" course as somebody else mentioned, but you do have to plot your way around a few of the holes, especially the 6th & 10th (both par 5's).
I've heard it gets wet in the Winter, but I'm not a Winter golfer any more so can't speak from personal experience.
It's worth a go just to see if you like it.... I don't but that's all in the head now.

So, we recently had an offer accepted for a property in Sevenoaks, and after doing some more research, both Knole and Wildernesse have Intermediate fees.

Knole is a 10 minute walk from where we are going to live, and looks like it could be the winner.

I think Wildernesse, may be a bit above our level of ability atm.

Good thing about Nizels is because it's Club Company you get free golf at their other venues which includes Chartham Park just down the road and a little further afield Benton Hall and The Essex (my place), both in Essex, which are great for an easy away day.

Nizels has some fantastic holes but having played it in the winter, I can confirm, it does suffer, heavily. Fairways swallow balls after heavy rain.
