there have no doubt been endless debates about this but searching i couldnt find any recent one's that helped.

i recently purchased a nikon rangefinder - was really not sure about that or the bushnell but as the nikon came with 30 day money back figured nothing lost!

i'm finding the nikon is great in practice to check yardages and pretty much perfect from 100 yds in, but any longer than that and it seems to struggle to find the pin. as most of the greens i play on are raised i cant even aim near the base to find it.

i've heard good stuff about the bushnell finding pins but that it does have probs when aiming at ditches bunker lips etc.

thinking of sending the nikon back and getting a bushnell but wondering what thoughts people have on them both.

cheers!

my dad has the bushnell and it picks up flags from 200yds plus and also you can aim at bunkers and similar things for distances ig get ya money back an buy a bushnell

I have a bushnell v2 and it has a pinseeker mode which is fantastic, it puts the yardage on the button from 250 yards.

I am finding it very easy to use, very good job

I had a Nikon (350, I think) which was nicked while my golf bag was checked in at a US airport, and I now have a Bushnell V2.

In my opinion, the Nikon was far better, and I wish I had bought another of those.

thanks All,

Ethan, having used both was there anything particular you prefferred about the nikon?

p.s sorry to hear it was nicked, there are some bar stools around!

I have an old Bushnell which has been good for a few years but I was at Wentworth for the Seve Pro Am and we saw Darren Clarke buy a Nikon from the rep as apparently the Pro's prefer them for accuracy - he actually paid on his card in front of us

I find the nikon fantastic, I got 350 second hand and its perfect! It does ditches, flags, bunkers etc from pretty much any yardage with easy.

I love the scan; so I can do bunker, pin, mound in one quick sweep.

I have no experience of the bushnell but nothing wrong with the nikons from my experience.

But what has he won in the last few years.. nothing of note from what I can remember
