i am thinking about buying some new irons but i want to buy better player irons and am stuck between choosing Nike VR split cavity irons or Ping i10 irons so i wanted to know your opinions. by the way just in case it helps my handicap is 17 but im playing under it.

Nikes for looks but I'd go with the Ping's myself. All the reviews I think would go with the Pings. they'd be more forgiving when you're not striking well - and lets face it you won't be playing under your handicap all the time.

Only my opinion.

I'd go with the Ping i10s if there's nothing in it.

Pings are easier to shift next time you want to buy a new set....and more folk are going to be envious!

I don't care much for Nike.....but I accept their products are probably good these days.

Ping offer a better fitting system and look miles better than the trainers.

I echo what everyone else says, try them out and as homer says possibly widen your search as Srixon, Callaway, Mizuno etc all make nice irons.

My choice would be Ping but then again I'm a Ping tart!

funnily enough...I was in my local golf store last week and picked up both these irons. The Nike's look awesome, no doubt about it. But I would go for the Pings. Ping make GREAT irons and the i10s have good reviews. I also hear they are a bit more forgiving that the Nikes.
But as sated above, get them both in your hands and have a bash!
