Played at first light this morning based on the BBC weathers prediction of a dry and mild day.

Shot a 72 which I am pleased with seeing as the greens were bobbly and furry. Both my mate and I left a few putts well short. Maybe that lesson and the range is having an effect on my game.

How did everyone else fare today?

I played horrifically.Drove it like a ***,my irons were not too bad, short game was so so and putting was dreadful.....apart from that it was a fine morning, the craic was superb,I won and now am off to the pub before heading to a sportsmans dinner so all is good in the world....the brighter outlook seems to come with age as 5 years ago I would have been ready to hang myself after performing like that!

I have been to tesco and done the food shop, washed the car and hoovered the living room! Lovely weather for it! Grrrrr!! I played well on Friday though..

Demolishing a pyracanthus hedge (the one with the thorns): tidying up the garden: washing the car. Now waiting for the golf and rugby. Golf tomorow, forecast overcast with a chance of drizzle, typical.

I played my first round of the year today, two 9s round a par 3 in cambridge called Cambridge Lakes. It was a beautiful morning, I was first off alone at exactly 8.05! I followed the greenkeeper around as he swept dew off the greens and raked bunkers, it was heaven. Amazingly the golf was not bad either (for a 12 handicapper who has not played for a while).

The only bad shots where a thinned 8 that was saved for a par and a pushed 9 iron into a lake resulting in a double after a weak putt for bogey fell away.

Played yesterday! Was lovely! Got beat, but quite happy as guys I rolled up with played out of their skin! Made a few great puts and the rbz behaved itself!

Couldnt agree more, played in a t shirt which made a nice change and the first outing with the new big dog!

39 points (1 blob)
3 birdies
Shot a 79 which was 3 under hc.

But we won't talk about the 8 On the card (trying an impossible shot from the tee on 16) or my 4 putt from 20ft on 9.

Loving the new driver, easy 25-30 yards longer and bullet straight ! ;)

6th consecutive day on the course and it showed! 32 points - 20 of which were on the front 9. Some really good stuff and some of the not so good variety. Driving is either very long with a delightful draw or a nasty hook which found water on the 14th and 15th holes.

Great company and great weather so not complaining and a lesson on Tuesday to figure out and eliminate this fairly new hook, which goes away but never quite for good.

Good stuff - did the back hold out?

I knobbed it round Westerham for 32, no blobs and some good saves from the trees. Was lovely out there though in the February Sun!!!

Played today too, the LEAST wind weve had all of Feb......

A Defo tale of 2 Halfs
Started with a Bogey
And finished -1 after 9
We then waited 20mins to tee off at the 10th..........joke, and went onto double it, 1st double B of the year....!!!!
Finished +4
Yes, would have been happy if offered that before teed off
But NO, I wasnt pleased at all.........after my opening 9

But happy to be getting back on track, after return from Back injury, had a +3 , 75 at my mates course last thursday too, so getting there

And The NEW driver ( PING i20 ) is going well

Back was good mate ta..... Still a touch stiff, but that could be some left over Viagra in the blood ;)

Westerham drying out ok?

Yeah well you should stop thaking them ss painkillers - Ive told you Nurofen will be fine !!!

Westerham was pretty good to be honest - got a bit wet on the 2nd  but managed to get a 6 for a point.

Bit annoying to spank a nice high cut around the trees on 7 to find the middle of the fairway, then punch a wedge to 20 feet, then 4 putt!! That pretty much sums upm the round, had a run of 5 pars then a couple of horrors!!

Was enjoyable though and for Westerham on a Sunday 4 1/2 hours was pretty good too!!

Had a whack with the bro today, for the first time as a full member of my club. Weather held out but breezy, winter tees but full greens. Managed an 82, greens very bobbly though. Finished with 6 straight 4's for the weekly tenner. 4 hour round, but loved every minute after a hard week at work. Played really well, and can't wait for the better weather to arrive. My 82 could comfortably have been in the 70's (we all say that eh!), so should hopefully get a single figure handicap in a few weeks time

Fully intended playing over the weekend.
Went to the footie yesterday. Had a practise session on the course planned for today.
Up early enough, tidied the garage, went to the tip. Cleaned car inside, decided to wash it, then polish it. Daughter came home, fluttered her eye lashes and asked me to help her clean hers.

2 spotlessly clean motors in the drive and the daughter loves me to bits! Can't say fairer than that!:)

So if i tell you our 3 ball took 3:15 mins, you wouldnt be jealous.

Very Happy with the i20 Driver
Last 2 rounds ( thurs & sun ) very good, took a gamble 9 ( buying untried ) and its paid off
I was even considering snapping up the matching 3 wood, but my mate gave me a Ping G15 4 wood ( stiff aldila serrano ) to try, and after a couple of rounds, Ive been quite impressed........so i dont know what fairway wood Im going to carry this season
I was wanting to try a RBZ TOUR 3 HL.........but nobody local has any
I had tried the RBZ 3 wood ( 15 deg ) but wasnt impressed

O S ........ Have u had a round on course with the new 'Orange' Number.........???
