According to a leaked Tory memo, the 1922 Committee will ditch May in April.

Looking at the seriously awful list of contenders it sums up where I stand when I think Jeremy Hunt is probably the BEST on offer.

Couldn’t we just get rid of one of the winter months?

It is Thresa May and obviously not the month of May that the 1922 committee wish to dump.

I agree, we need to keep May as that's when the golf season really gets going.
How about a referendum to see which month to drop? I hate February, it's just rubbish. And surely the least number of people (statistically) will miss out on birthdays as it is the shortest month.

January has to be the worst month. Miserable post-Christmas blues, back to work, weather is flipping freezing. Sack it off.

It’s November then, Christmas comes quicker and no fireworks to scare pets, plus loads of turkeys get to live another month if we can get America to agree as well.

That was a seriously dreadful speech from May [the PM].
Quick summary for those who missed it.
'Poor wee us, everyone hates us, it would all be just fine if those silly 27 countries did exactly what I say'.

I would imagine that the £ will tank after that debacle.

Anyway, I thought turkeys are for November, and Thanksgiving. Those that miss out get a bash at Christmas. But we should give a thought to Vegans, and when nut roasts are traditional.
