So the Turkey is now cold and being used for alsorts of salads, sandwiches and currys etc. Presents all unwrapped and sale shopping has commenced the next big day, well night is New Years.

So golf or non golfing wise what's your resolutions for 2013 that you'll try to see beyond the 2nd week of January.

I'll start:

1. More exercise and healthier lifestyle
2. Actually start saving some money
3. Find a new job that allows me free weekends every weekend
4. More practice at the range and on putting green
5. Enjoy my golf and let it happen with the score being irellevant.

So what's yours.

My resolution is to help my dad get fit, which in turn will help me.

He has a family history of health issues and year on year he has been getting bigger. I've bought the bike rack and I'm gonna take him for some waterproofs so he has no excuses.

For me, my resolution is so limit/stop the impulse buys and put some money to one side for a block booking of lessons

Drink more wine and whiskey
Smoke more cigars
Play more golf

Get fitter and enjoy playing just for playing. I'm going to do my best not to worry about scores, wind myself up about duff shots or missed putt. I play for fun and I want to make it fun again.

Still to be decided but some sort of fitness goal. Bike miles down this year never mind swimming and running. Lots of walking though! So thinking about setting a goal which will get my top level fitness back again - less quantity, but more quality.

no swearing on the golf course.

Did pretty well last year - started doing pilates to help manage the dodgy lower back and kept with it. This year could be a bit more tricky....

Think before I type on here, that way I won't upset so many people

I'll still extract the Michael where it is warranted though ;)

Don't do resolutions. Set a few golfing goals but that is about having a target and a focus to practice and play towards. Other than that I'll plough on in my own furrow as I have done every other year and see what the wheel of fortune chucks my way in 2013. It owes me as 2012 was crap!
