New Year's Eve. Where.

We've been away in cottages for the last 6-7 years over the new year, and generally always had a good night out.

Ludlow - quiet, but a good pub crawl, and can take your dog in most boozers.

Alnmouth - had a few down the coast first, then got a taxi back.

Buxton - quite good.

Penzance - had a good crawl, but had the taxi booked, just as it was starting to warm up. Originally we were going to go to St.Ives, where I believe it's brilliant, and 90% of people go out in fancy dress, but was just too far.

Whitby was a cracking night out, finished in a 70/80's disco in "the worlds end" boozer till the early hours, twas brilliant.

The international bachelors paradise that is Fort William, awaits this year.

Milk maids cottage in kniveton booked, spending the night in the red lion 😁. Apparantly they have a Cher, blonde or abba tribute band on. Them sheep had better watch out 1st Jan 2017 when am staggering home.

LB , my wife is from Alnmouth and I've had many a New years eve there. Did you go out on New years day as well? That is often much better than the night before.

Strange you should say that because I thought that Dec 30th night time in Edinburgh was brilliant, but New Year's Eve was Rammel on princess street. Leaving princess st was scary with the crowds trying to leave last off.
Berlin was stunning but God it was cold.

Lovely place, Alnmouth.

I think it was Warkworth we went to for a few first, then got a taxi back to Alnmouth to see the new year in. The pub at the top of our street had about 15 dogs in come midnight, all going round in one big firm.:D

Dunno about the next day, probably just had a sleep in, went for a walk, as a lovely cost for walks - a castle in every village.

Pub 500 yards from my front door. No rip off prices, no taxi issues just good company and good beer. Perfect

Lucky you. All the decent pubs round my way have shut, made into a convenience store, knocked down, leaving the rubbish ones. So now we don't bother going out. Luckilly a familly member has bought a big house 2 minutes away and is doing it up. I've already thanked them for hosting this years NYE party. LOL
