New venue for meets

Just had an email with details of a new development which sounds good as a venue for meets:

"Woodsome Hall Golf Club near Huddersfield has just opened an 8 twin bedroom Dormy House. The facility, a former detached property situated behind the 7[SUP]th[/SUP] green, has been converted with no expense spared to a very high standard. In an effort to market this new facility I am circulating this to our members in our region in the event that any group from the respective Clubs would like an away trip with a great course, fabulous accommodation and wonderful food."

I've no idea what prices will be but unlikely to beat Gainsborough.

It's always worth a look at Rose, but the best thing about Gainsborough for me, apart from how poor the Ping team are, is the total contrast between the two courses

Just in the middle of three days golfing around Chesterfield - four of us. Staying in a Wetherspoons hotel, cannot believe how cheap it is and I don't mean cheap and nasty. Ruddles Best £1.85, large glass of Merlot £2.85, breakfast £3, 8 ounce sirloin and a pint of Guinness £7. I'm selling up and moving in!
