new user categories - lets get creative

Yes I like the idea, certainly might just be the small spur for someone to add a few more posts, hopefully not an incentive to spam nonsense or to +1 posts to reach that next milestone.
As its GM it certainly has to be Golf related in my opinion, here's my humble thoughts............;

Up to 20 ...................New Ball
21-100 ...................Tee Peg
101-500 ...................Driver
501-1000 ..................On the Tee
1001-2500 .................Straight down the middle
2501-5000 .................Elite Amateur
5001-10000 ................Q School
10001-17500 ...............Player of the Year
17501-30,000 ..............Forum Pro
30,000 and above..........Tournament Referee

Just a bit of fun:)

Like the old clubs idea. Its a bit of fun and a link to the history of the game.

The only problem with the old clubs idea is that you need to know the difference between them and how they are ranked

whatever you do, it needs to be obvious, to forumers of all levels, not just for the few

Something like

Shanker, Hacker, slicer, down the middle, Fairway in Regulation etc etc is both obvious and golf related and has a structure

can we fit the word "Knob " in somewhere?

Fragger

Really like Mashie's suggestion but would add a few more categories, as Mike, 10 is not enough.

0 - 10 posts Newbie
11 - 25 posts Hacker
26 - 50 posts Medal Winner
51 - 100 posts Club Champ
101 - 250 posts Assistant Pro
251 - 500 posts Club Pro
501 - 750 posts Challenge Tour
751 - 1000 posts Q-School
1001- 1500 posts Rookie
1501 - 2500 posts Journeyman
2501 - 5000 posts Winner
5001 - 10000 posts Ryder Cup Team
10001 - 15000 posts Major Winner
15001 - 20000 posts Multiple Major Winner
20001 - 30000 posts Hall of Fame
30001 posts + Legend

I quite liked the use of Mike's example as it made it personal to the forum but I understand it would make it appear cliquey to the new member/poster...

So for my next suggestion could we list all types of balls ranging in cost from range ball to the feathery?

Hi all
Thanks for your input and suggestions. Seems like the newbie through to Major winner/Hall of Famer theme is the most popular with honourable mentions to clubs/balls through the ages
I will implement this in the next few days and confirm all the titles and at what levels they kick in at
cheers
