New Trophy

I am about to purchase a new trophy for our club for a new competition I have put in place this year but do not know which to buy, nickle plate or pewter (Silver plate is rubbish apparently). Has anyone got any experience of trophies?

They don't have a Trophy room anyway.

Do not buy silver plate. I spent hours polishing up our trophy cabinet prior to presentation night. A few of the older trophies had patches were the silver had been polished through.

Also won a coffee set, inc tray, many years ago. Within a few years I put it in a skip. Fed up of polishing it.

get a shield , no polishing required and always look impressive in the cupboard where i put all my trophies [fishing and golf]
