Hello to all, just joined the forum and looking for some help.
Ive recently moved to the Blackburn area from Carnoustie and was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on a good club to join.severly getting withdrawl symptoms at the moment not being able to hit some balls ha ha

Blackburn - Hilly open parkland course. 6144 yards par 71
Pleasington - Fairly challenging course, not overly welcoming to visitors. 6445 yards par 71
Wilpshire - Parkland/moorland. Shorter course at around 5900 yards par 69

If you are looking to become a member Pleasington is the one I would recommend.

Hi Jaser. I'm a member at pleasington and can highly recommend it.
Its a bit pricey but about as good as it gets in the area.
If you fancy a knock I'd be more than happy to take you round.

Hi qwerty, cheers for the reply and the invite for a knock around pleasington, what sort of cash we talking about for a guest round?have heard pleasington is a testing track, but is it as testing as my old stomping ground of carnoustie?

Its £15 for a guest. The pricey part is the joining/annual fee.Ive played all over Scotland but never The beast that is Carnoustie. there must only be a handfull of courses in the country as tough as Carnoustie.
PM me if you fancy a game, the open qualifiers are on later this week so the course is in great condition at the moment.

cheers again for the offer, will take you up on a round but not quite just yet, have a few things to be doing just now but definately wanna play, will get back to you
