As a new player, i have been offered a set of Mizuni MX 20 irons, i'm just wondering if they are any good for a new golfer?

I think MX20's were rated as game improvement irons when they were released in 2004. there shouldn't be any hardship in using them and should last you a while - assuming there are still grooves left.

Not bad. As long as you aren't being asked to part with more than £100-odd and they have decent grips, OK.

As one of the last incarnations of the T-zoid family, I'd personally go for something different. These are old tech clubs, not even creeping into the game improvement category.

That said, no problem starting with a set of these, and Mizuno are a very good make.

Im using even older T-Zoids. if they are in decent condition than they'll be great while your learning some basics and while you'll see if you'll stick at the game.

My old ones are pretty forgiving, and will be older technology than these. Im sure newer game improvement clubs are even more forgiving but you'll spend more in buying them.

Also, if you carry on playing and improve, these clubs wont necessarily need replacing for a while, im playing ok with my old ones.

I've been told i can have them for £50, after looking on the internet, i think i'm getting a bargain. if the grips aren't brilliant i can always have them re-gripped. but like everyone has said, they should be ok for me to get started with. thanks for the replies, i will be getting the clubs in June, so will let you know how i go on.
