new to golf and forum

Welcome in.

You kinda have already (you have a name) but you can add to it by going into "User Options" - "Main Configuration" - "Personal Information" and create something.

Have a scout about that section. Also a good idea to set your own info up so that the most recent post comes to the top of your page. Most if us do that and you'll find it in there somewhere.

Don't be shy to get involved.

Where do you play etc?

thanks i will try and get involved i joined a club close to me in Westerham in kent. Had a great first year in golf although i have never played previously i did play most other sports and went from 28 to 14.7 :o

Sheesh. Bit of a natural, by the sounds of it. Good scoring for your first year. Hooked then? How did you find this place?

accident was bought subscription of magazine for chrimbo by friends and registered as a result of that it seems great i can see me trying to make good use of the benefits particulary keen to broaden my experience of playing other courses but offer an open invattion to all to join me at westerham several vouchers as part of my membership offering free golf to a select few :)

There are a few on here that can be described as "select" Gary and for that reason I suggest you avoid them like the plague!!

Just a wee tip, though. Capitals and full stops aren't banned here. Feel free to make good use of them.

We used to have a guy on here WHO SHOUTED ALL THE TIME. Didn't make for easy reading.

Many thanks all advice always welcomed. I am sure like everyone i will be seeking tips that provide me with the secrets of improved golf!
the weeken gone i experienced the highs and lows, Saturday shot a wonderful 33 playing of a swindle 11 and Sunday played off my club 15 and recorded and shocking 14. The god of golg reminded me who was boss :rolleyes:
