New TM forged Cb irons

Hit the cavity back (CB) and wasn't overly impressed. The face felt very soft even for a forged club and I didn't like the amount of offset they have. They have a thickish top line like the Burner and for the £600 ish price tag think there are lots of better options. That said I like the look of the MB range but they didn't have a demo model to try. Thinner top line and less offset and hopefully a better feel. Both have the KBS as standard so its a decent shaft

Ask Andy, he's only been waiting about 3 years for TM to fulfill his CF set.

thanks for reply homer..............a bit dissapointed you did not like them, as you are a TM man.

Sean.

One mans meat and all that malarky. They look very similar to the R9 in terms of top line but have a smaller head (marginally). The forged face is actually inserted into the club so it isn't a pure forged club in the way a Mizzy for example would be. I hit them pretty well and they are forgiving enough but the ball just seemed to lack zip off the face. Even when I tried something similar like the JPX 800 pro there was more feeling on the strike and the ball seemed to fizz away better. Try them and see what you think but personally I'd be looking the the MC for a new TM set (again not at current prices) or at other models
