So I've finally gone and order some new irons.....

It was a toss up between the JPX800 Pro's and MP59... I know which ones I really wanted and had a chat with my pro and took me out for a play with both to see which one suited me best and I was delighted with the result..

MP59's are currently being made as we speak :D During the fit we knew the shaft that was best for me so was just a case of ball striking and the MP59's were bam smack in the centre of the face every time. I discussed with my pro that they are for "low" handicappers but he said it was more about ball striking not handicap which showed being a **cough cough** 21 handicapper.

4-PW with ProjectX 5.5 shafts and standard grips with 2 wraps of tape.

He's getting me in a Titlesit 910H 19* with Project X shafts to let me try on Sat, so hopefully should complement my new set nicely.

On a side note, after handing over a lot of £££'s after work, went out for 18 with my usual playing partner and started off +7 thru 9... maybe I should have cancelled my order!!

I hate you!!!! Enjoy the new toys... Can we have some photos when they arrive?? Grrr my shaft too.... ...

59's are very nice- remember we all started on thin blades when we were younger so dont fret the low handicap thing- you enjoy them and your game will love you for it.

Should have gone for the MP-69's :whoo:

Good choice of iron.

I hit one in the local AG last weekend while my dad was pratting about with some Galvin Green waterproofs....... They are pukka.

Again, good choice fella

That'll be the old clubs playing nicely now they think they're under threat, nothing unusual there.

Enjoy the new ones Philly! :)

Have you been told how long?

7-10 days.. good thing is i have a couple of comps and golf live to keep me occupied this week and the BMW's next week.. so wont get them on the course until start of June :) birthday present to myself..

Enjoy them. Nothing like that feeling of walking out on the course for the first time with a pristine set of bats. The magic may last a couple of rounds depending on how much fairy dust they sprinkle on them in the factory. If you play well with them it doesn't matter where they are aimed at. Clearly you hit it well and the pro didn't see a problem so happy days. Have fun

Great choice Phil, I would probably have considered them myself if they were out when I pulled the trigger on the 53's last year.

Possibly the best looking iron available at the moment.

Im sure they will be in the bag for years, hope you enjoy.

Which day are you at golf live?

Going for the Sunday mate

Any reason for getting the 19° instead of a 21° when that would have slotted in as your 3 iron?
